Post-Inquiry Workshop From 2010 to 2013, a commission of inquiry addressed the topic of "growth, prosperity, quality of life". It was intended to "advance the programmatic discussion on the concept of prosperity and its perspectives. The basic question for understanding prosperity is: How can societal prosperity, individual well-being and sustainable development be appropriately defined and portrayed in a society, in light of the fact that focussing on the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) is no longer adequate?" (Wikipedia) After various civil society actors at the De-Growth Conference in Leipzig decided on the further development of the results of the commission of inquiry, the second brainstorming took place in a post-inquiry involving civil society, conducted by Hermann Ott at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Berlin. On the one hand, the workshop enabled participants to introduce very different ideas. On the other hand, concrete models and next steps for further cooperation were developed. nextlearning supported the design of the workshop, gave an introduction to the model of effect logic and moderated the World Cafes. Growth, Prosperity, Quality of Life Partners: Wuppertal Institute Berlin and Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) Location: Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Berlin Format: Workshop Period: November 2014 Final Report Comments are closed.
