Green meetings as a model of action The Green Meetings seminars aimed to provide an overview of the discourse on sustainability in international and European contexts. During the course the principles of sustainability in urban areas were introduced as well as international and regional "best practice" examples examined. On this basis, a needs analysis, as well as a local model of action for sustainable event management at the Freie Universität of Berlin was developed. Part of the implementation was a systemic analysis in the areas of sustainable mobility, sustainable waste management, resource protection and procurement, which included input from sustainability actors from the private sector, government and civil society. nextlearning was a course partner and developed the seminar concept in collaboration with the university's sustainability initiative SUSTAIN IT! We incorporated our expertise in "sustainable conference design" in several courses and supported students in the development of practical guidelines for sustainable event management at the Freie Universität, Berlin. Green Meetings as a model of action Partners: Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU) Location: Freie Universität Berlin Format: Proseminar, course Period: November 2014 to January 2015 Seminar Link Comments are closed.
