Zellen Festival - Life Science Urban Farming  For the Zellen Festival at the Hebbel am Ufer theater in Berlin, the mobile beds of Berlin's urban gardening project Prinzessinnengärten were moved into the theater. The resulting garden installation served as the backdrop for various activities on the theme "Urban Development". nextlearning was invited to create a temporary artistic intervention at the festival. Under the title "Your City is Our Garden" a series of quotes from utopian novels from the 19th and 20th centuries related to the design of urban space was projected on video screens. The statements were the inspiration for a workshop based on developing visions for sustainable urban development. An additional input on the topic was a presentation about mushroom growing in the city by a representative of the project Chido's Mushrooms. At the end of the workshop the participants "planted" their suggestions and ideas in the beds in the theater in order to make them grow.
